Exhibiting solid performance in all departments of the game, Odisha beat Bengal by six wickets in their opening league match of the East Zone U-19 Women Cricket Tournament at Dhanbad in Jharkhand today. Odisha captain Sushree Dibyadarshini Pradhan guided the team to victory, bagging three wickets and hitting an unbeaten 27. Batting first, Bengal were bowled out for 123. In reply, Odisha rode on a 57-run opening-wicket stand between Sasmita Mallick and Anjali Singh to overhaul the target in 43.3 overs.
